ABOUT US

Bootstrap Energy is developing several landmark energy projects to help aggressively accelerate the global transition to #zerocarbon. We are an experienced team of energy developers and project managers advancing critical midstream infrastructure and grid resilience projects.

Our focus is Texas, the most successful renewable energy market in North America, with nearly 50GW of renewables and still growing.

We believe that Texas will be the green hydrogen gateway to the world thanks to the highly competitive ERCOT electricity market and abundance of off-peak renewable energy that is often subject to curtailment during times of low load or high transmission congestion.

The 2022 Inflation Reduction Act tax credits have re-ignited wind and solar investment and will usher in mass-scale green hydrogen.

Zero Marginal Cost Electricity

The growth of clean electricity generation across the country has gone exponential, and, to the delight of many, wind and solar power are now cheaper than conventional fossil power.

ERCOT offers competitively priced zero-carbon power and is continues to attract industries from around the world who are seeking cleaner energy and a lower carbon footprint.

Since 2020, Texas developers have built nearly 20 GW of new wind and solar capacity — enough to power several million more homes sustainably. The ERCOT system is approaching 50GW of wind and solar. Renewables capcity continues to grow and take a dominant share of the supply mix.

Bootstrap is involved in development of a 2+GW portfolio of utility scale battery energy storage systems across ERCOT.
